Lightweight and compact, these small-volume patient-side filters form an effective barrier against airborne and liquid-borne contaminants while preserving humidification.* Their pleated hydrophobic membrane delivers efficient aerosol and liquid retention whilst keeping flow resistance low throughout the filter’s service life. They have minimal dead space and can remain in place for up to 24 hours, allowing safe transfer to a ventilator after surgery without changing the filter. Filters when placed on the patient side, serve both as a microbiological barrier and as a heat and moisture exchanger (HME).
